Ernie first came to the shelter on 8/23/23 as a stray with his brother, Bert. He was adopted fairly quickly but was returned due to unrealistic expectations by the owner. He is a very sweet and gentle dog who gets along great with other dogs but does get a little intimidated by large crowds of people. He also LOVES to play outside and is currently one of our largest dogs at the shelter at 72lbs on 3/20/24. He did test positive for heartworms but has been kept on prevention and would be given a sic month pro heart short prior to adoption.
The $70 adoption fee includes spay/neuter prior to adoption, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, ID tag, heartworm test if over 6 months of age, and microchip. Dog adoption fees are $70.

Pay Fee
Our fees are typically $70 for dogs and $50 for cats. However, we offer discounts for multiple animals, senior animals, and special needs.

Take the Pet Home
Always bring a leash/Collar for dogs and a crate for cats!
