Scout is one of our pups that make us shake our head and wonder why has he not found a foster or a home? Scout is just an overall great guy.
Scout is a handsome, hound mix. He is estimated to be approximately 4 years old. Scout can be a little timid in new situations but when he relaxes his whole face lights up! He is a medium-large sized fellow, and he loves his toys and treats. Scout is a happy, family, dog friendly boy who just wants to be a loyal companion. Scout is one of our all-time favorites. He had a home, but the family fell into crisis, so he was returned. Since his return he has been nothing but a wonderful boy.
Oh, our sweet, good-looking Scout. He has been special to us since his birth in 2019. Our hearts broke when we got the call from the shelter that Scout was surrendered. He was a Dogrrr from birth; while we always take our dogs back, he was surrendered to the shelter as part of the "return crisis". He is a good boy, and we can't imagine why he was surrendered. He has shown nothing but love, sweetness and innocence.
Scout fought the odds of distemper death. His poor mom was in the shelter and not treated well while being pregnant, we worked hard to get her out so she would not get exposed to possible illness but unfortunately due to protocol she had to stay in the shelter, while we did get her before the babies were born, she and her babies got distemper. They struggled to survive, and Scout was the lone survivor along with his beautiful mom Linda.
You may remember the videos of the two pair of pregnant girls dragged into a shelter. Scared out of their minds; sweet Linda gave birth two weeks later. She seemed so relieved to be safe and able to decompress in a foster home before she delivered her pups. Now you see why this adorable boy deserves nothing but the best.
