Midnight was a house cat who was surrendered due to housing issues. She had a very hard time adjusting to being at the shelter and went into hiding for a long time after escaping from our catio. We were very worried about her, but eventually her appetite got the best of her and she started showing up at wet food feeding time. There's almost nothing that the sound of a can of food opening can't fix with cats!
Now Midnight is a prominent member of our colony and often the first to greet people. She can play hard to get with petting but when she feels safe she remembers how much she loves it.
Midnight deserves to be a house cat again. If you have a quiet home and a patient, big heart and are willing to take time to let her adjust to her nw environment, Midnight will reward you by licking your hand and loving you back.

Adoption fees vary by age and breed. Fees cover spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchip.

Adoption process requires an interview with adopter, ad adoption agreement, plus spay/neuter deposit if animal is not spayed/neutered.

Kittens: $175
Senior cats 7 years and older: $75
Dogs and puppies: $350-1200 depending on breed
Senior Dogs: $250-$450 depending on breed

Jelly's Place is a rescue and No-kill shelter founded in 2017 to be an advocate for the lives and dignity of urban animals who are homeless, abandoned, impounded, sick, or injured, by providing responsible care, placement, and community education. Its founder, Julie Bainbridge, has been rescuing and fostering animals since childhood. She has rescued, fostered, and /or raised all kinds of animals, including baby squirrels, raccoons, pigeons, chickens, geese, ducks, skunks (yes- skunks), wild and tropical birds, pigmey goats, mice, snakes, rabbits, dogs, and cats. Some animals are cared for by volunteers in their homes.
Jelly's Place is named in memory of her beloved English Bulldog who crossed over the Rainbow bridge in 2016. Jelly's Place is a 501 (3)(c) nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible.
Jelly's Place depends on donations, grants, and volunteers to foster and care for animals.
