"Meet Izzy: The Shy but Playful Lab Mix Looking for a Forever Home!"
Introducing Izzy, a sweet and gentle 3-year-old female dog with a heart of gold. This lovely girl is a Lab mix with a stunning coat that will make your heart melt. But don't let her shy demeanor fool you - once she warms up to you, she's a lively and active dog who loves to play and run around!
Izzy may take some time to trust new people, but once she does, she'll shower you with all the love and affection she has to offer. She's an extroverted loner, meaning she enjoys the company of other animals but may feel overwhelmed by the presence of children. A tall fence is a must for this curious pup, as she loves to explore and discover new smells.
We believe Izzy would thrive in a home with a patient and understanding owner who can give her the time and space to feel comfortable. A companion animal would also be a great plus for Izzy, as she loves having a furry friend to play with.
If you're looking for a loyal and playful companion, Izzy is the one for you! Come meet her and see for yourself what a special dog she is. She's ready to find her forever family and make a lifetime of memories. Are you ready to give Izzy the loving home she deserves? Adopt her today and make her your new best friend!

More about this rescue
A.C.A. is a network of foster homes, an entity formed to help animals from Evansville Vanderburgh Animal Care and Control. Most of the animals in our foster care program have all come directly from EVACC.
We choose to pull from EVACC because of the thousands of great animals that come through the shelter each year. Thousands of cats and dogs (and some chickens, horses, and small furries) are relinquished to the shelter each year. Some are given up by owners, victims of hard times, or new living circumstances. A larger portion have come in as strays, found on the streets of Evansville, held for 7 days at the shelter for an owner to reclaim them, and then given a very short period of time in which to find an adoptive home before the kennel is needed again for the next animal that comes in.
