Hi! My name is Polly and I am a princess. I'm also a polydactyl Hemingway cat with extra toes on all four feet, a rare occurrence. When I got to the shelter I had to have my gorgeous long white fur shaved off. I looked a little funny for a while "apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur so to speak, but the mats on my back were so bad they were ripping out my fur and left me with many owies. I also had a bad case of ear mites, which wasn't a lot of fun either.
I'm all better now, and am back to my devastatingly beautiful self, albeit with shorter hair.
I do have some trust issues, probably due to past treatment, that leaves me inclined to want to bite if I feel threatened or nervous.
My foster family is trying to love some trust into me, but sometimes when I feel threatened, it is like instinct.
I do love people though! I get so happy to see someone and want to be on your lap, purring and rolling around. I like to climb onto your shoulder and come down your chest on the other side.
I use the litter like a pro, am learning to play with the other cats (and to tolerate the dogs), and I love hanging out wherever my people are.
