My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marabelle is a gentle, sweet English Bulldog who we transferred from a kill shelter in Central Valley. She had suffered neglect and came to us with a serious ear infection as well as other medical concerns. Due to the severity of her ear infections, and after extensive vet care, Marabelle is now completely deaf. She has been in a wonderful foster home the past several months and has received lots of TLC. But she is now ready for her furever home!

Marabelle is extremely gentle and loving, and an easy dog to be with. She gets along great with children and other dogs. Marabelle will be a wonderful companion for her new family.

Adoption fees vary by age and breed. Fees cover spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchip.

Adoption process requires an interview with adopter, ad adoption agreement, plus spay/neuter deposit if animal is not spayed/neutered.

Cats over 1 year old: $125
Kittens: $175
Senior cats 7 years and older: $75
Dogs and puppies: $350-1200 depending on breed
Senior Dogs: $250-$450 depending on breed

Jelly's Place is a rescue and No-kill shelter founded in 2017 to be an advocate for the lives and dignity of urban animals who are homeless, abandoned, impounded, sick, or injured, by providing responsible care, placement, and community education. Its founder, Julie Bainbridge, has been rescuing and fostering animals since childhood. She has rescued, fostered, and /or raised all kinds of animals, including baby squirrels, raccoons, pigeons, chickens, geese, ducks, skunks (yes- skunks), wild and tropical birds, pigmey goats, mice, snakes, rabbits, dogs, and cats. Some animals are cared for by volunteers in their homes.
Jelly's Place is named in memory of her beloved English Bulldog who crossed over the Rainbow bridge in 2016. Jelly's Place is a 501 (3)(c) nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible.
Jelly's Place depends on donations, grants, and volunteers to foster and care for animals.
