My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey hi hello, I'm Lida! I'm a 1-year-old, mixed breed, ball of sunshine and energy! I've been with my foster mom and foster (human) sister since June, and I think I'm really getting the hang of things! When my mom first picked me up, I was really scared. It took 3 hours and 4 Babybel cheeses for me to come out of the corner when we got home, but that was the first day of the rest of my life with cheese! I didn't know anything about living in a house, but it only took a few weeks before I was going outside to potty, and going in my crate! My mom says it's rude to brag too much, but I'm like, really smart. And I'm REALLY busy. I'm so smart that when my mom got me my own trainer, I learned all of these things right off the bat: sit, stay, down, look, and leave it. I LOVE to learn stuff, and I'm happiest when I'm doing anything at all, really. There's even a chair mom calls the "Good Girl Chair," and when people come to the door, she makes me sit in it so I don't jump on them. I don't like when mom says "leave it" because I'm really curious about stuff but I listen to her because what I also learned is that I LOVE making my people happy. It's my favorite thing. Here's some other stuff I like:

-Going on long walks every single day
-Playing fetch
-Running around outside (when my zoomies are really going, my vertical could get me into the NBA)
-Toys (except for the viral crab toy that other dogs really like. I do not like the crab. The crab is not my friend. The crab is my nemesis.)
-Cuddling with my mom and human sister

I'm not sure how I feel about cats yet, but I know I have trust issues with other dogs, and I prefer to just be with my humans right now. My mom says this is getting better, but I will need a lot more (professional) training before we can know how I am off-leash with other dogs because she says the way I am with dogs on a leash right now is something called "not chill." I'm just scared, I think, and we're working on it, so I hope you can be patient with me and help me work on it, too. In return, I promise to make you laugh every single day with how I "talk" to you, and I will give you lots of hugs and cuddles and be your best friend because, more than anything, I just LOVE love, don't you?
