My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I grew up as a house dog with fenced in back yard but loves to escape and roam. I do think I would be good on a farm as long as the animals are larger than me. I get along best with dogs a little smaller than me and cats if they are in door. I grew up with my 7yr human brother but with other children I need slow introduction until I know them and is comfortable. I also need that with any outsider of the household. I am easily fear triggered and need someone that will be patient but firm with my training and understand my breed. I am kennel trained and it is my safe space.

Betty White is 3.5 years old and 76 pounds. Once she gets confortable, she's very loving and likes to snuggle. She will protect her humans from everything down to a leaf blowing. Loves belly rubs and kisses and head scratches.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
