Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please read the bio in full for answers to your questions. In the event you have a question that is not covered in the bio, please email info@seniordoghaven.org. If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application which can be found at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/.
Please note that because all of our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about an hour of Wilmington, DE in order for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in person home visit.
Meet Sasha! Sasha is a 10 year old 15 lb. Shih Tsu - Poodle mix who was surrendered to our rescue when her owners sadly could no longer care for her. She is a friendly and low key dog who just wants to be with her person, and will follow you around the house to make sure that you aren’t going anywhere. She is a wonderful companion and cuddler and very loyal to her human.
While in our care Sasha received a dental, hernia repair, and removal of a benign fatty mass. She has a grade 4-5 heart murmur and takes medication (about $60/monthly) and will need an annual echocardiogram (about $450 annually)
An ideal home for Sasha would be a calm and somewhat quiet environment as she does get frightened by a lot of activity or loud noises. She loves sleeping in, cuddling, car rides, short walks, and exploring the yard. She is a pretty quiet dog but will bark when someone walks in the door or when you first leave the house. She gets along well with low energy dogs and “dog savvy” kids. She has not been cat tested but did well in a foster home with a domestic bunny.
Could you be the right furever home for this sweet cuddle bug?
