What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We adopted Misty almost a year ago. She had a leg injury which required amputation (right rear leg). We paid the vet bills and helped her adjust to amputee life. She gets around fine but stays close to home.
She is a young adult, probably 2 years old. She is indoor/outdoor currently but only goes outside when weather is nice. She is litter box trained.
She loves people but not other cats. We had three cats when we adopter her, and we hoped that she would learn to socialize since she was still young, but that never happened. She is territorial, and wants to be "alpha" all the time. She would do well as an only cat or maybe in a large home with plenty of room for two cat "territories". Our house is very small, so it's not working well.
She begs for petting whenever a human walks by and loves to sit in a lap in the evening. Sometimes she'll nap with you on the couch. She's good with kids. She loves to be scratched on the neck. BOTTOM LINE: Loves humans but not other cats!
