My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Louis, the sweetest, friendliest, and most curious dog you'll ever encounter. His playful nature and smart wit make him a joy to be around. He's known for his goofy antics, like blowing spit bubbles when he's excited, especially for treats. His past remains a mystery, but his future could be with you. Louis is ready to fill your home with laughter and love, his funny and charming personality making every day brighter. He has proven to be move-in ready with how well behaved he is and his reports of being housebroken. He's a huge foodie and would love some cooking time with his humans! Gentle, sweet and oh so smart!

Guest Bio: Hi! I'm Louis, and I'm gonna be your new best friend! My shelter people say I'm the sweetest, gentlest, friendliest, and most curious dog you'll ever encounter! I think that means I'm a super good boy!!! I'm really smart and wait for it... ALREADY TRAINED! Isn't that cool!? I'm really goofy and have some silly habits, like blowing spit bubbles. I also love treats! I'm a funny boy, and everybody loves to be around me, but for some reason, I've been at the shelter really long. I wanna find a furever home, and I think YOU would be the perfect fit!

Before you can spend time with a dog, there is a brief questionnaire that you will need to fill out. Our staff will review these questions with you in order to help you decide which dog is the right fit for you, your family, and your lifestyle. This information is confidential and will be used only to assist our staff in determining the best possible placement. Please spend the time necessary to make the best possible decision for you AND the dog you may adopt.

Where Our Dogs Come From

Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is a temporary home for dogs that are found on the streets by the county dog wardens. Dogs are held for 72 hours in order for the owner to claim them. After the holding period, unclaimed dogs may be available for adoption.
