Greetings, my name is Rocco. I'm a bully mix and I'm here to tell you a little about myself. I've been with my current foster parent for a little over 4 months now and he's taken a real shine to me. (Mostly because I'm awesome!)
For starters, I am fully potty trained, and I love sleeping and sleeping in. I love sleeping so much that I won't get out of bed in the morning to go to the bathroom until my foster dad gets up. (he likes sleeping too) I also wait to get into bed until he does, cause he knows I can be a bed hog. I can be an active sleeper and have been known to run, kick, bark, whimper and growl in my sleep. At bedtime I love to give kisses and nib at the sheets because I'm so content and happy.
When I'm up I follow my foster dad everywhere. He loves it! Making food? I'm there. Taking a shower? I'm there. Working in the office? I'm there. Going to the restroom? You guessed it! I'm right there too! I will follow you to the end of the earth. When my foster dad is watching tv, I'll go from the couch to the floor, to my kennel and then back to the couch again to repeat the cycle.
I love my kennel and will spend lots of time in there if you put it where you hang out the most and leave the door open with my bed in it. While I enjoy my kennel, I get sad when you leave. I know to go into my kennel and will go by command. (You will still get the sad eye treatment though.) I have been known to howl the songs of my people when I'm left in my kennel and my foster dad leaves for work. Oddly, even though I howl, I rarely bark. When my foster dad comes home, I run around in circles and wag my tail like crazy but I don't even bark to thank him for returning.
I'm not into a lot of games, I enjoy tug of war and tag, but I'm not really a fetch the ball kinda dog. I enjoy chews and bones and like some fruits and baby carrots I'm not a huge fan of baths, but I love, love, love being toweled off after and will sit still while I'm rubbed down. I really like walks and rides in the car. I still pull some on my lead until I calm down a little though. I also enjoy sunning myself. I will lay out in the sun even in 110-degree weather just to get my burn on.
I love people, but I'm selective about being around other animals. I have been known to jump on the couch and cuddle up to complete strangers, even if they're not dog fans. Speaking of which, I love pets and cuddles. I may be built like a tough guy, but I'm like jello when I get my belly rubbed.
I don't have any tricks, but I'm smart enough to learn some. I do know how to sit and will come on command, but let's face it, I'm probably already in the room with you. (I'll follow you, remember?)
If you're looking for a good boi, give me a try. Once I grow on you, you won't want to let me go!
