Axel was rescued with his littermates from a Kansas shelter in July 2023 after which the litter came down with parvo and canine respiratory virus. Axel recovered from both viruses and is a healthy boy!
Happy and sweet, 11 month old Axel enjoys attention from people and is also content to be independent. A playful, goofy pup Axel enjoys playing with toys and roughhousing with other dogs. He would love to have a canine playmate in his furever home. He is great with children and would do well with ages 8 and up. He is a big puppy and might knock little ones over on accident. Axel is potty trained and tells his foster mom when he needs to go out. Axel is a good listener and knows some basic commands. He is so ready for his furever home!
Axel is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

A secure and visible fence. In order for your application to be approved, you must pass a home check and a vet check which includes having at least a two year vet history. Adopters can be located in Missouri and surrounding states: Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois.

Great Pyrenees Rescue of Missouri is dedicated to rescuing Great Pyrenees who are without a home, need medical attention, or just need a safe haven as they transition to their forever home. We are a volunteer, nonprofit rescue, relying solely on your generous donations. We are currently working to establish our rescue facility in St. Clair, Missouri. Until our facility is constructed, we will be foster based only, with fosters in Missouri and surrounding states. We will continue to have fosters after our facility is built. Our facility will allow us to rescue more Pyrenees in need.
