My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Look at beautiful Tessa! She came to the ranch extremely shy and not willing to be touched. She still loved being around people, but had never been handled and it terrified her. After being in foster for about a week she was allowing touch, and now, after about a month, she loves attention of all sorts, even jumping on the bed for morning cuddles! Tessa loves going out on the leash, never pulls and stays right by your side. She now loves to go for car rides and is disappointed if I leave the house without her. She just did a 2 week trip to Oregon and was perfect in the car and at rest stops. She has recently spent some time at our Thrift Store and is very willing to meet new people. She is surprisingly confident with new places and things, and doesn't startle easily. She learns new things quickly and has become a dog who is eager to please her person. Tessa has a goofy personality that has come out as she has become comfortable around people and in a home. She is a happy girl who cannot walk straight due to the her tail always wagging! She also has the cutest tail that has a Pug-like curve to it and only wags on one side! She would do great in a home with other dog friends or by herself. She does love to play with her foster siblings, but is also content to curl up on a dog bed in my office. Her overall personality is submissive, and she has had no issues with any of my personal dogs. She loves treats and takes them very gently and respectfully. She is well-mannered in the house and besides the one shoe she decided is hers (it was offered after she showed an interest), has not tried to destroy anything. Bonus for her adopter - I had her DNA done because I thought she had to be related to one of my other dogs, so that will come along with her adoption!
