My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hachi was roaming our neighborhood for a few weeks. We brought him home and he has adjusted to our pack very well. He feels safe to come in the house after several days of coaxing him. And now sleeps inside on his pad. He is a good eater, still working on taking treats gently. He loves attention and lots of petting. He is not much of a barker. He is a very easy dog, he is happy being outside or inside. It's easy to get attached to him.

Hachi completed the "fast kill" method of heartworm treatment on 1/24/2024. He will need a follow up heartworm test in July 2024, which will be covered by the Rescue. Hachi will need to remain on heartworm prevention for the remainder of his life to prevent reinfection.
