My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Take a look at our stunning girl Ellie!

This sweet girl breaks our hearts. She came in to us as a stray after being tied to a street out on Highway 86. She had managed to wiggle out of her harness and was running the highway by the time the police got there to bring her to the shelter. By the time she got to the shelter, she was terrified and had no idea what was going on.

When she first came in, Ellie had zero confidence and didn't really know how to be a dog. It has been a long road, but she is doing GREAT with learning some manners and learning that not all humans are bad, as she definitely had some trauma prior to showing up on our doorstep. She does have a little more work to do, but she is doing great and is ready to find her forever home!

Ellie will need someone that is willing to take their time with her and give her the time and tools that she needs to be a happy and healthy dog. She has been in a great foster home and has been doing AMAZING in a home! She is such a goofy and cuddly girl, she will be a great girl for someone willing to put the work in for her.If you are interested in discussing what that would entail, give us a call!

Ellie is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed. If you are interested in applying to adopt Ellie, please submit an adoption application, which can be found on our website: humanesocietyofnwia.com.
