My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a lounging, lazy, loving, loaf? Meet Poppy! He is our resident middle-aged man here at the shelter, and, one of our favorites! He's the kind of guy that just wants to relax on the couch to watch TV while chowing down on tasty treats. It's not too hard to make this guy happy!

Poppy is a massive homebody, but would love a backyard with a fence or a pasture to look out on. Poppy is crate and house-trained, knows sit and lay down and would LOVE to give you a firm handshake. If you're a mellow fellow and are looking for bird of a feather, Poppy might be your guy!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.
