My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mrs. Potts and her son, Chip, are looking for a forever home together! The two are always together and inseparable and their bond is very heartwarming to experience. Mrs. Potts and Chip are potty pad trained. They will cuddle with their human once in awhile but they spend most of their time snuggling together. They get very excited when it's time to eat but they should be fed in a separate area at mealtime if other dogs are in the home. Mrs. Potts was recently spayed, received a dental, and had numerous mammary tumors removed that were benign. She has arthritis that she will need daily pain medication for but she's a happy girl.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

You can email us at seniorpetsunited@gmail.com with any questions about our adoption process or inquiries about any of our animals. Most of our animals have a $100-$150 adoption fee and we do require a contract to be signed at the time of adoption. You can find our adoption application on our website, seniorpetsunited.org. We ask that you list your veterinarian as a reference on your application, and we would appreciate you giving them a call when you submit your application to give them permission to share information about your pets over the phone with a representative of Newman Nation.

Go meet their pets

Because Newman Nation is a foster-based rescue spread out over multiple states, we do not have a centralized adoption facility and currently do not have any planned adoption events. Once you inquire about an animal or submit an adoption application, the animal's foster parent will get in touch with you about setting up a meet and greet and/or home visit.

More about this rescue

Newman Nation: Senior Pets United is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to rescuing, providing care for, and rehoming senior cats and dogs across the Midwest.

Our goal is to work with animal shelters and animal control facilities to find urgent and overlooked senior cats and dogs. We focus on admitting urgent senior cats and dogs over the age of 10. All animals are placed in foster homes while they look for forever homes and those requiring specialized or hospice care will remain in Forever Foster Homes for the remainder of their lives.
