Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sonny is still very much a puppy. He is full of life and energy and wants to play more than anything else.
He had been adopted to a wonderful family. However, the other dog in the family had a different idea of what it means to have a good time -- just chillin' and taking it easy. Both are great dogs, but not for each other.
Sonny loves to be with people and would do well in a home by himself or with other dogs that love to play.
He is fully housebroken, neutered, and up-to-date on all veterinary care. He is very smart, already responds to several commands, and will be easy to train.
As for his personality, a recent incident tells you what a remarkable dog Sonny is. It occurred when he was being walked by his foster Mom and a friend of hers. Stephanie Jordan, who runs Luna Farms Rescue, told us:
"Sonny abruptly halted and started pulling backward... His foster Mom and her friend turned around and saw a 70-pound dog advancing toward them, its demeanor aggressive" (the dog was being walked off-leash and his/her family wasn't paying attention.)
"Without hesitation, Sonny positioned himself firmly between the approaching dog and his foster Mom and friend. He acted as a shield...to keep them safe."
"The other dog repeatedly attempted to push Sonny aside, even going so far as to drape its neck over Sonny's back. But Sonny stood his ground, resolute but gentle."
"Sonny's incredible display of restraint and protection left everyone in awe. He managed to block the other dog from reaching the humans without escalating the situation into a fight."
"It became clear that Sonny, in addition to being a lively, bright companion, was also a devoted protector."
Sonny is a wonderful dog. Could you be just the right forever family for him?
