REX IS IN A FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO VA ONCE ADOPTED.
This is Rex. He might be part giant, but if so, he is one of the gentle ones. Rex and two siblings were found on a dark country road in February of 2023. He was badly abused, and extremely shy. He has received lots of love and attention, but is still a very scared boy, who will need lot’s of love and gentle care. New situations are terrifying for Rex, and he struggles with new people. His fear sometimes expresses itself through aggressive posturing. He is in training to overcome this. Once you get through that shell, he is sweet, funny, and gentle. His favorite thing in the entire world is playing fetch and catching balls. If he misses a catch, he will happily retrieve the ball or toy so you can try again. He also likes to give kisses—gentle taps with his nose to your nose. Rex is energetic, but well mannered. He is house trained and will sit on command. He is people focused—if you are up wandering around, you will have a large dark shadow following your every step. He is also cat-friendly. Rex is intelligent, but easily pleased. Give him a toy and a hug, and his day has been made. His biggest issue is all the fear he carries around with him. Once you get him feeling comfortable, he is a big, goofy, sweetheart. Rex is fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. He is looking for just the right family!
Adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Rex up north to his new family. If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt here:
