Angel came to our rescue in 2022. She was found after she was first dumped on the side of the road and then placed in a packed shelter that was overcrowded.
She's a beautiful 5 y/o Californian Mix and weighs about 8lb. Angel, like her namesake, is extremely gentle and well behaved. She's quiet, litterbox trained, respectful of her space (aka does not chew), and does well free roaming or penned. As she is a lady of a certain age, Angel is a low energy rabbit and likes to nap, sunbathe, and watch movies with you. She loves her treats and she's very well behaved with dogs, cats, and children. She interacts with dogs and cats like she's one of them.
Angel knows her name and will come to you when called. She also loves attention and will sit with you for hours if you're petting her. She even sits still to be brushed! She's a joy to be around and has been a great bunny with each foster family that she's had.
Angel does have a slightly modified diet because of bladder sludge but we haven't had any problems with sludge since putting her on a special diet.
Angel has not received any adoption applications in the fourteen months that she's been with us because she's an older bunny and on the bigger side. She spent her last Christmas in the rescue and she would love to find her forever home in time for this Christmas. Can you help her holiday wish come true?
You can apply to adopt her here: https://pennyandwild.org/adopt/rabbits/adoption-application/

SOS FL Animal Rescue is a non-profit rescue for rabbits and guinea pigs. We are animal lovers who are experienced rabbit and guinea pig owners. We both fostered small animals with other rescues for years before meeting each other and deciding to start our own rescue so that more rabbits and guinea pigs could be saved. We take in all rabbits and guinea pigs, including unwanted animals, seniors, and medical cases.
