My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The dirt road duo need a forever home. Beau and Sissy are a bonded pair, they are assumed to be siblings and are less than a year old. They were dumped on my dirt road and waited patiently for their owners to come back for them. But they never returned. I took them in, in hopes of finding them a good forever home. They have been completely vetted. These 2 pups will bring you hours of enjoyment and laughs. They play together nonstop and wrestling with each other is their favorite thing to do. They love to go for rides in the back of the Kubota, they ride well in cars. They will chase all varmints that are in your yard. I would love for these 2 to stay together. Beau and Sissy know all basic commands and will play fetch. I do not know how they would do around other dogs, they have not been around any. But they do like to chase cats and chickens. Sissy does like to climb fences, she likes to have open space to run. Beau loves water and will lay in any pool or any large water container. Please consider letting these dogs into your heart.

Beau is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Additional adoption info

Adopting from The Love Pit means gaining a family member. It means gaining a network of pit bull advocates, ready to support you and provide you with all of the resources we can. Most importantly, adopting from The Love Pit saves lives. When you adopt, you're saving the life of your own dog, opening space in their foster home for another shelter dog in need, and creating space in the shelter kennel for a dog whose life would have otherwise been on the line. Your thanks for all the good you've done? Lots of love and pit bull kisses to enjoy for years to come.

Go meet their pets

We have monthly adoption events at different locations in Dallas and Fort Worth which are announced on our social media pages and will also be posted on our website.

We will also set up an appointment with you to meet the dog of your choosing.

More about this rescue

Our goal is to educate the public about a breed that often falls victim to breed specific legislation, discrimination, and cruelty and promote responsible pet ownership through spay/neuter initiatives, vaccinations, and training resources.
