My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woof woof! Hi there, I'm Shadow, the friendliest ten-year-old neutered bully breed you'll ever meet. I'm on the lookout for my forever family, and I'm ready to be your loyal companion. They call me Shadow because I love to be with my people and follow them everywhere. If you need a sidekick, I'm your pup!

Right now, I'm living with three other big dogs, and we're like one big happy family. But when it comes to meeting new doggy pals, I might need a little time to get to know them, so introductions should be slow and gentle. Kids? Oh, I love 'em! Whenever I've been around kiddos, I've been on my best behavior. I'm a gentle giant at heart.

As for those kitty friends, well, they seem pretty intriguing to me, but I'm willing to take it slow and have a warming-up period. Who knows, maybe we can become buddies too!

When I came from the shelter, I had some yucky eyes that the nice people at the rescue took me to get checked out. It turns out I need eye drops more than likely for the rest of my life, but that doesn't slow me down one bit! I am currently taking meds for anxiety, but people here think that once I get settled in a place for a bit longer, I may be able to get off of those.

So, if you're looking for a loving and devoted doggy companion, I'm your guy, ready to fill your life with wagging tails and unconditional love. Woof woof! ???

Shadow's adoption fee is $150 and he will come fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting Shadow, please submit an adoption application today through our website - www.helpingpawsonline.com/adoption-application

Helping Paws is a foster based rescue that does not have a facility to house our adoptables. We believe they are better off in a loving foster home while they wait for their forever family. If interested, please fill out an application, and we will set up a time to schedule a meet and greet for you and the animal.

More about this rescue

Helping PAWS is dedicated to improving the lives of animals locally, and nationally; alleviating their suffering and elevating their status in society through the rescue and rehabilitation of animals in need and through the education of their community on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare, advocating the value of all animal life, in hopes to end the neglect and abuse of all animals and to end the devastating pet overpopulation through spay and neuter advocacy.
