What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We adopted Lou in 2017 from an animal shelter in Kansas. Lou is currently up to date on his vaccinations but is due for shots again in March. He is house trained and has graduated from a training course. He is 7 years old. Lou has unique, bowed legs that are a talking point whenever we are out and about.
Lou does well with our kiddo (currently 4). He would love someone who could devote time to playing with and walking him. Lou is playful and silly. He has never met a stranger and is friendly with everyone. He enjoys lounging and cuddling, but also loves playing fetch and going for walks. He's a great companion and a good dog.
Lou would do best in a home with older kids who would love a dog to play with (he does well with younger kids but he is a big boy and tends to knock over toys) and/or adults who are able to give him the attention he deserves. He loves to explore his space, so a fully-fenced in yard he is safe in would be best.
