My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IF YOU CAN SEE THIS POST, I AM STILL AVAILABLE AND LOOKING FOR MY FOREVER FAMILY

Meet Callie! She is around 10 months old, and weighs 28 lbs. Callie is a great girl, and she’d love to find a family! She’s fostered in Milwaukie, OR. Callie loves a good Nylabone or stuffed Kong, and is a pretty easy going girl! She’s a medium energy girl, but she is a very slow walker because she prefers to take a leisurely stroll. We don’t think she’d be a good jogging partner.

Callie is very sweet & gentle, and likes to please her person. She can be reactive around strangers and bicycles, but if you give her time to adjust she will warm up to new people. Due to Callie's background as a working/herding breed, we are aiming to secure her a forever home with individuals experienced in handling working/herding dogs. While Callie is an excellent canine companion, it's essential to note that, akin to many herding and working breeds, she may display a tendency to nip.

In consideration of this behavior, we believe Callie would thrive in a home with children aged 10 and older. Callie is dog friendly, and has previously lived with several other dogs. She has not met a cat while with us. Callie walks well on a leash and is potty trained! She has also been working on crate training with her foster and will whine the first couple of minutes but settles in after that. Callie is a great girl, and she’d love to join your family! Please apply to adopt her today.
