Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looks like: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Female, 13 years old (estimated), 21 pounds
This spunky Queen draws you right in with her marvelous face: a sweet, gentle, melting expression emanating from really large, round eyes. With her tiara just slightly crooked, toothless Chrissy tops off her aristocratic looks with a silly tongue that often peaks out of her mouth. Before the clock strikes 5 pm, Chrissy may fear that she will turn into a toad if she does not get food right away. Otherwise, she is a very mellow lady who loves to take frequent naps throughout the day, interspersed with a couple of short walks around the block. When out and about, she gets along great with dogs of all shapes and sizes and is polite around cats. Unfortunately, in the home she is looking to be the apple of her adopter's eye as she is not a fan of sharing her home with other dogs. She would likely do OK with a dog savvy cat. She loves all people and eagerly meets anyone who will give her some gentle pets and ear scratches. She has the sweetest tail wags reserved for when she gets most excited and really lights up during yard explorations and definitely at any prospect of food!
Chrissy is being treated for a non-agressive form of lymphoma and has a positive prognosis. She also takes daily medication for a heart murmur and requires eye lubrication throughout the day. She is patient and cooperative when getting her medical care. Although no shining armor is required, Chrissy dreams of humans with a heart of gold swooping her up and that, together, they will live happily ever after!
This sweetheart came to us when her senior guardian had to move into assisted living and was heartbroken not to be able to take Chrissy with her.
