Please read the bio in full for answers to your questions. In the event you have a question that is not covered in the bio, please email info@seniordoghaven.org. If interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application which can be found at https://seniordoghaven.org/adoption-process/.
Please note that because all of our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be about an hour of Wilmington, DE in order for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in person home visit.
Meet Remi! Remi is an 8 1/2-year-old, 14lb, Maltese who was one of several dogs taken as part of a cruelty case in Pennsylvania. He had skin problems and was in need of a much healthier living situation. Remi was welcomed into our rescue with loving arms and the next chapter of his life began.
Remi saw our vet for his skin condition and is almost done with treatments. He has a slight visual impairment due to early stage cataracts, and the vet noticed a low grade heart murmur that requires no treatment. Remi will occasionally have some reverse sneezing and might require allergy medicine in the future. This sweet boy can also have separation anxiety and will take Tramadol as needed, but it’s a rare occurrence. He doesn’t require any daily medications. Remi is housebroken and will also use pee-pads. He LOVES being with other dogs and is good with cats. He is also good with children but has not yet been tested with toddlers.
Remi is described as the perfect companion who loves his people and would do well in any type of home. He is really smart, eager to please, enjoys learning, and is highly food motivated. Remi has the most adorable underbite and likes to show off his tricks. He’s a super cute, super fun, super loving pup that needs a new beginning. Can you please give it to him?
