My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sugar is in search of her forever home. This gorgeous Dutch shepherd is three years old and possesses an active, intelligent, and joyful nature. She adores open spaces and takes pleasure in activities such as hiking and running.

Sugar is thriving in her training. She has exceptional recall, demonstrates proficiency in basic obedience, and is excellent in her crate and on place. Additionally, she exhibits a strong desire for toys and particularly loves playing with her ball. Sugar is highly motivated by food and will eagerly work for it. If you're seeking a sport dog, Sugar could be the perfect match. She has displayed athleticism and skills that make her well-suited for agility or dock diving.

Sugar has been introduced to livestock and has adapted well. She also gets along nicely with the foster's dogs and other dogs during training sessions.

With each passing day, Sugar's personality shines brighter. When she finds her forever home, she will undoubtedly bring immense happiness to her new owner. Due to Sugar's high energy levels, she will not be placed in a home with small children.

More about this rescue

Mission Statemet
Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. (MAD) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is dedicated to rescuing Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds who have found themselves without a home (surrendered, discarded, abused, neglected or impounded). MAD does not have a physical location and is operated by compassionate, like-minded professionals who volunteer their time and resources to help save and care for the Malinois and Dutch Shepherds. All animals that are accepted by MAD are spayed or neutered, given medical attention and rehabilitation, as needed, and placed with foster homes until their health and evaluations are completed and they are ready to be placed in their loving permanent homes.
