My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jax is a healthy 7 year old Shih Tau/Poodle looking for a new home. He was bought from Pick-A-Pup in Holliston, MA on 5/13/16. He was my parents dog but they have split up and are going through personal issues and I unfortunately cannot keep him. Jax is a sweet loving boy in the right environment but does deal with anxiety and social anxiety. Jax is very to himself and usually doesn't interact with other dogs unless they come up to him. He would likely do best with no other pets in the house and a smaller family (no more than 4 people). Jax has a history of guarding his food/toys/bone and will give clear signals when he does not want to be approached or touched. When he is eating his food/bone he does become possessive over items and if you touch him he may nip/bite at you. He takes 1/2 prozac 1 time a day to deal with his anxiety. He would do best with someone who is familiar with his behavior and instead of pushing his boundaries, respecting them.
