My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wyatt was brought to Orange County Animal Services around Christmas time of 2022 by a kind person who found him wandering loose in the neighborhood. From OCAS he was transferred to us. At the time of his rescue he had very long nails and was a bit scared and dirty, but in overall good health. Wyatt has flourished in foster care and is now eagerly seeking his forever home.

This is a handsome young Rex bun whose abundance of creative energy has earned him the nickname Wyatt the Riot! Two of his most favorite activities are munching on his favorite pellets and leafy greens, and - interior decorating! Wyatt likes to move everything in his pen around until it is exactly the way he likes it. He can be a little territorial about his pen and prefers that the feng shui be respected. Wyatt also loves playing with his toys, especially toys with bells (he enjoys carrying these when he gets the zoomies), or just causing a general ruckus with his curious nature! Wyatt has just as much love as he has energy; when he is tired out from his antics he wants to lie down, preferably near a human who will pet him for hours. Wyatt is looking for a loving family who can give him room to zoom!

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step to our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.

Additional adoption info

For those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match.

Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes.

You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select.

From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue and educational group dedicated to the health, care and enjoyment of house rabbits. We believe that pet rabbits are family members and should be housed indoors, should be fed a healthy diet, should be spayed or neutered, and should receive quality medical care. Our organization strives to provide bunny parents with information to help them care for their rabbit.
