My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

F1 Standard Goldendoodles | 19 months | Male + Female | 60lbs + 58lbs | Owner Surrender
*We cannot guarantee breed nor age.

Temperament: Friendly! Playful! Curious!
Activity level: Moderate-high.
Vetting: Vaccinated (rabies, DHPP, lepto, bordetella), neutered + spayed, microchipped, dewormed, fecal (negative), 4DX bloodwork for tick-borne diseases and heartworm disease (negative), on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
Housebroken: Yes!
Good with Dogs: They are good with dogs in the park. They do not react while seeing other dogs on walks. They have not had exposure to other dogs in their homes but their foster family is going to work on introducing them to dogs to see what they are like.
Good with Cats: Not tested.
Good with Children: Yes! Very friendly and joyful around the kids they previously shared their home with.
Prey drive: Both have moderate prey drive. On walks, they tend to pull and get extremely excited about squirrels and other small animals but do not bark. They are working on manners.
Response to the outdoors: They love it! Max is curious and loves to explore. Candy is enthusiastic and loves open spaces. They both love to spend hours outside and in the backyard - lounging, playing with each other and finding sticks to chew on. They love long walks and hiking.
Crate-Trained: Not used. They are used to free roaming at home. They are not destructive.
Resource guarding: None observed.
Response to commands: Know basics like ‘sit’ and ‘stay’. Respond well to their names. Working on ‘down’ (no jumping), ‘lie down’ and shake a ‘paw’.
Are they vocal: Max is occasionally and might bark at new stimuli. He gets very excited to go on walks and barks to get going once he sees his leash in your hand. Candy is less vocal but might whine if she needs something.
Leash Etiquette: They typically walk beside their person or slightly ahead. They are naturally curious and often pause to sniff their surroundings. They tend to pull if they are being walked by two people to catch up to one another or when they see a squirrel/small animal. They are working on manners as they are very strong due to their size.
Transportation: They are calm but curious and observant of their surroundings. They are not nervous while in the car, love to stick their head out of the window and on longer car rides will curl up and fall asleep on one another

Calling all doodle lovers! Have we got the perfect pair for you! Meet Max and Candy - brother and sister. These two gorgeous doodle siblings are searching for a new home to call their very own.

Max and Candy have spent their whole lives together and truly enjoy each other’s company, so we feel it would be best to keep them together. Plus who wouldn’t want double the doodle love? These two adorable pups are truly the perfect package. Candy is sweet-natured and playful. She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. Max is a friendly pup who is social and curious. He is also a fast learner and enjoys playtime.

Since these siblings are still young, they can show some puppy behaviours. This duo are both very smart cookies though! Max and Candy are truly wonderful dogs and delightful companions. They have not shown tendencies of separation anxiety in their current home and seem to be well-adjusted pups. Currently, they both get out for twice daily walks along with lots of outside time running around in the backyard.

We are unsure how this magnificent duo are with other dogs as they have not had much exposure. So right now we are looking for a home where they will be the only pups while their foster parents work on their socialization to see what they are like with other canine companions. Both of them are so sweet-natured and are ready for all the love. They love belly rubs, head pats, cuddles, giving kisses and being wherever you are. They have adjusted very well to their foster home and can always be found next to one another.

If you are ready to welcome Max and Candy, this delightful doodle duo, into your home please fill out a Canine Adoption Application on our website: covetedcanines.org/application
