MEET LAILA #2!!

Laila is a pretty great dog. She loves to play, loves her toys, likes to go for walks, hikes and play fetch. She is active. However, she also loves cuddles, her people and belly rubs. Laila has had obedience training using hand and verbal cues. Laila is sweet and eager to please.

Laila is looking for a new home at no fault of her own. She is loved greatly, but her current owner has some significant health issues and cannot care for her anymore. She gets along with cats and other dogs. However, she has never been around small children, so an adult home may be best. She also wants her own space when being fed. She just needs her own space with her own bowl away for any other dog while eating. She gets along well at dog parks and is typically submissive to new pets she does not know. If you are active and would like an easy dog to add to your family, then meet Laila today! She is a wonderful dog.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

Go meet their pets

We attend multiple adoption events throughout the valley during Spring and Fall.
If you are interested in a specific pet, please complete our adoption application found on our website and we can then coordinate a meet and greet.

More about this rescue

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
