Hello, humans! My name is Keiko, and I'm here to share my story with you. You see, I'm not your typical cuddly, affectionate feline. Nope, I'm what some might call an independent spirit, packaged in the beautiful body of a tuxedo cat.
I've had a bit of a rough start in life, and it's left me a tad wary of people. Before I came to live with my foster parent, I had terrible dental disease, and I had to have all my teeth removed. I’m still a great eater, enjoying hard and soft food. Being outdoors is off limits to me, as it’s not safe for me without my teeth to help protect me. Which doesn’t bother me at all, as I like being indoors.
I love playing with my toys, but I don’t really enjoy playing with humans. I like being in the same room with my foster, occasionally granting her permission to pet me, but I am not a lap kitty. I do enjoy an occasional brushing on my belly, though.
Deep down, I'm just a misunderstood kitty looking for a place to call home. I may not come running to greet you at the door with purrs and headbutts, but give me time, and you'll see there's a whole lot more to me than meets the eye.
I’m searching for a patient, understanding cat lover who is willing to respect my independence, and love me anyway! I think I’ll thrive in a quiet, all adult home, where I’m the only non-human.
