Loki is a very good boy! We have been fostering him for about a year now – ever since
neighbors moved away and didn’t want to take him with them. He is a 71-pound white
shepherd mix, around 2 years of age, healthy, neutered, and up-to-date on his
vaccinations. He’s house trained, leash trained, and sofa trained (meaning he loves to sleep
on the sofa). Like many shepherds, Loki is extremely intelligent and somewhat sensitive. When
he first came to live with us, he was fearful of everything – if he tried to walk more than a few
yards on a walk, he would become so scared he would completely freeze and not move. With
lots of attention, love, and training, he has evolved into a much more confident dog. He now
loves to go on walks, hikes and chase balls. When he feels secure, he loves to meet new
people and dogs; being young, he is still learning to respect other dogs’ boundaries. When
visitors come to the house, Loki is very excited to make friends – especially with kids!
