Aldo is an active, loving beagle-basset mix who has received extensive professional training. He responds to many commands, is crate-trained, housebroken, and travels wonderfully (he has been on two cross country trips!). He is healthy and has no medical issues.
He is extremely loving, affectionate and gentle, and is happiest napping right next to his people. He also loves spending time outside on walks.
We initially adopted Aldo during the pandemic from a home that was overwhelmed and consequently did not socialize him as needed. Overall, he is good on walks, but has some fear-based leash reactivity which results in him barking if bigger dogs pass by on walks. Aldo gets along great around dogs at the dog park or when he is properly introduced to another dog.
As a new graduate with a demanding job, I sadly can no longer provide Aldo the attention he needs and deserves. I am looking for a dog-experienced home that can offer a lot of activity, love, and attention.
