My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Watcho is ready for adoption! He just turned 3, and is half Doberman half Akita. He’s the definition of a gentle giant, and super calm/low energy. He’s a quick learner and eager to please. Watcho is very well behaved, has excellent manners, and is 1000% house trained. He will let you know when he needs to go potty (and prefers you go with him, although will go by himself if you insist.) Watcho has the all-to-common “Covid era puppy” separation anxiety we’ve been working with him on, and isn’t fond of the crate. He would prefer a family that’s home with him much of the day, although he’s not destructive when left to his own devices to roam the home. He’s a classic Velcro Doberman!

He adores kids of all ages, even babies, and is extremely patient and tolerant with them. He’s lived with another dog as well, but has not yet been exposed to any cats. Watcho is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. He has a chicken allergy and does best on a grain-inclusive fish-based diet. He came to us about 30 lbs overweight, so needs a family that can help him continue to shed pounds through healthy diet and exercise.
