My name is Oscar!

Say hello to Oscar! This gentleman is an 8 year old 16 pound Yorkie who enjoys taking in the world, a good nap, and newly interested in chew toys!

Oscar is a rescue from a puppy mill and is learning about the world outside of the cage he was confined to. People are new to Oscar and if given the space to investigate at his own speed he is learning he can trust humans! Once shying away from loud sounds or people he now eats treats out of his foster moms and loves being scooped up and tagging along for a ride in the car.
As long as introductions are slow, Oscar will cozy up right into your arms.

Oscar loves like size dogs and although less enthusiastic about the large dogs in his foster home, he seems to be gaining interest. While he would do well with a like size dog sibling, he also would love to steal your heart for himself!

In terms of house training, Oscar is working on going outside on leash. He does consistently potty in one spot indoors and has made great progress with keeping it on the wee wee pads.

Oscar has made so much progress and is ready for a home to call his own! If you are looking for a little buddy to be right at your side, look no further!

Oscar is currently being fostered in Staten Island. His adoption fee is $500.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
