My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Laramie, a gorgeous red husky who has spent 15 of his 22 months on earth in foster homes and the county animal shelter. This boy is tired of living the wild, wild west shelter and foster lifestyle, and with his good manners and good looks, he dreams of his own furever home.

Having spent so much time in the shelter, Laramie has had plenty of time to make a wish-list of his perfect life. And here is his list: In addition to a loving family, Laramie tells us that his perfect life would include 3 things - treats (which he will take gently from your hand), naps in his very own dog bed (or on the couch!) and dog pals.

Laramie is housebroken, affectionate with people, knows basic commands, and walks well on leash. And to top it off, Laramie is a team player - he gladly shares his shelter kennel with other dogs, he participates in doggie play groups, and he lived in a foster home with another dog. We think Laramie is a rare gem, and he agrees with us. If you want to add a gem and a team player to your life, then Laramie is your guy.

You can meet Laramie at the San Diego County Animal Shelter North Campus, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad, CA 92011. The shelter is open for animal viewing Tue-Fri from 1 to 3:30 pm and Sat-Sun from 10 am until 3:30 pm. You can also meet him at other times by scheduling an appointment at (619)767-2675. Be sure to mention Laramie's ID number which is A1902781
