My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPT PRECIOUS! This adoption is NOT through Furry Nation Salvation and is a Courtesy Post. Please call the individual listed below with any further questions or to set up a time to meet the pet. Thank you. Please call/text this number if interested: 386-228-5867

Cat located in this city: Orange City

Cat name is Precious a 7-8 month old female tuxedo.

Cats vetting history: She is spayed, vaccinated (rabies & distemper) and tested negative for Feline Leukemia & FIV. She currently is using a prescribed medical cream for an area of inflammation.

Animals story: She was abandoned and we heard excessive crying in a wooded area in mid- October. She was hungry and severely underweight I unsuccessfully searched for their owner. After ten days she was spayed and brought inside for recovery and rehoming. During her outdoor life she sustained an injury to her right ear which is completely healed. She was definitely the protector. She is adjusting very well to indoor living, relaxing without the stress of outdoor predators, now eating regularly and trusting again. She is litter trained and looking for more than just a room to stretch her long legs. After her ordeal she needs that special family that can provide the love, understanding and an indoor environment necessary for her very best life. I am unable to add her to my existing pet family.

Personality: Precious has become more confident in her two weeks indoors. Her trust grows daily which is encouraging as we do not know what she's been through. She loves her cheeks rubbed, being brushed, and has a deep unique purr. She welcomes attention and play time once she gets to know you.

Any Supplies that go with pet: food, food bowls and a few toys. Currently eating: Purina Naturals Kitten dry food and Fancy Feast wet food.

::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too! Limit the overly processed dry food and ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. At the VERY minimum each cat should get one 3oz. can of wet food a day or HALF of a 5.5oz. can a day (although we recommend double this).

IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT:

4) Please show up with your Driver's License.
5) Information sheet will be filled out (your information as well as mine)

*Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you.
