Hi there this handsome gentlemen's name is Hamilton, (that's his legal name when he is being naughty) but you can call him Hammy, as everyone at Five Acres does. One of the things that we learned very quickly is that he loves playing with tennis balls! He could play fetch until our arms gave out and fell off.
While being at Five Acres he has made many friends, both dog and people. His friends at Five Acres say I have a "Rough and Rowdy" playstyle, basically he likes to run and jump around with doggie friends with the occasional wrestle contest. We think Hammy could go home with another dog that is very tolerate or having the same play style as him.
When he is not playing with doggie friends or playing fetch, he is a cuddle bug. His shelter buddy at the shelter likes to tell everyone that he "plops" right on her. His love language is definitely physical touch as he is very socially motivated. He knows "Sit, paw, and watch" but would benefit from some more basic training skills.
Hammy has had some home experience while being at Five Acres and what we have found out is Hammy is a house-broken, big time cuddly bug, and wants to be around people.
Hamilton is currently in Southern Missouri receiving his Good Canine Citizenship certification through the "Puppies for Paroles" program, if you would like to meet him please fill out an application and once finished receiving my certification, he'll be ready to go home!
