My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cricket was found as a stray in Imperial Valley California . The Calexico Animal Shelter is a high kill shelter, as they do not have a staff vet and cannot adopt out dogs that are not sterilized. Rescue only "pulls" or owners can get their dogs back . She was pregnant at intake but they still vaccinated her despite that fact. Unfortunately, vaccines can kill the puppies, but by golly these guys made it! There are 7 little pups that were born at the foster's house the night she arrived!

On many occasions we do a foster to adopt to make sure your new pet is a good fit.

We are an all-volunteer rescue and do our best to respond to emails, phone calls, applications and other requests in a timely fashion. As stated in our application confirmation email, expect a 5 day response time on applications. However, due to an overwhelming demand for adoptions of puppies and dogs, you may have to wait longer for a response and we apologize.
