Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Basey was with her people for ten years, since she was age two. First her human dad died, and then her human mom became increasingly ill and died in hospice care this October. WVH's Pet Peace of Mind program is helping find a new home. She was used to having people around all the time, to belong to, cherish and entertain. Her favorite things are neck scratches, pets and belly rubs. She loves car rides and she loves, LOVES walks. She is temporarily with a family member and gets two daily walks plus car rides for errands. She really is a dog that can just hang out. This is not to say she is mellow - she largely is but she gets very excited too. She likes to lounge on the furniture, and sleeps on the bed with her human(s) and even under the covers for part of the night. She was an 'only dog' most of her life, and in the past year or so she lived with two really big dogs and was intimidated by them. She will 'guard' things she decides are hers, so probably best with adults or teens.
