Meet our super handsome boy named Yondu! Yondu was picked up roaming in town, but no one ever came to claim him. He is a super friendly and affectionate boy who loves to play! Yondu is about 1.5 years old, and he is a really fun guy! He absolutely loves to play with any type of ball shaped toy and will chase them around all day. He loves butt rubs and would love a family to give him all the attention he deserves! Yondu is an active guy, but he calms down quickly. Yondu is good with other dogs, but he is not a fan of cats. He is looking for his best buddy to take him home. Yondu can go to a home with children 12 years old and older.

MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly.
You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.
An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
