Hi everyone! My name is Goober and I’m a special needs dog. I was at a shelter that was going to euthanize me, but luckily for me Wags and Whiskers stepped up and took me in to save my life. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Wags and the vet team on my case, we know why my breeders abused and abandoned me. It turns out that I can’t hold my poop; the nerves that control that function in my body, simply are not working to their full ability, so, I’ll have to wear a diaper while I'm inside the house. I don't mind wearing my diapers, because they mean that I get to be closer to people, and I LOVE PEOPLE! I know I’m a lot to take on, but if you are willing to be the caregiver to an amazing and sweet dog, please consider me, I promise that the benefits of my love far outweigh any negatives that come in my package. Consider opening your home to a special needs pup like me!

call to schedule an appointment 530-895-8888

Step 3: APPROVAL, PAYMENT, & PICKUP
Your new family member can be picked up if you're approved and the animal is spayed or neutered. Payment of the adoption fee is required to reserve the pet. Adoption fees vary for each dog, puppy, cat and kitten.

More about this rescue

Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all breed, NO KILL, animal rescue organization, incorporated in August 2015. We are a primarily volunteer driven group with a number years experience with animals and rescue. Our mission is to rescue, foster, rehabilitate and rehome, abandoned, abused and unwanted animals in Willows and Chico, California.

We rescue animals at risk of euthanasia in shelters, as well as those surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect. We are committed to helping the most needy, as well as the readily adoptable.
