Other important info about me: I came to the shelter with an allergic reaction to fleas, with much of the hair on my back end missing. I’ve been treated and my hair is growing back nicely, so I’m ready to find my forever home! As long as you keep me on a regular flea prevention, I won’t have any more reactions in the future. I appear to get along with people of all ages and other dogs, but I haven’t been tested with cats at this time.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are open Mon-Fri 8-4 and Sat 10-2. If no one is at the shelter during open hours, please call 281-576-2417 for assistance.

2.
Meet the Pet

We require all adopters to spend time with the pet they are interested in to make sure he/she is a good match!

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

All adopters must sign an adoption contract. This contract states that you will obtain rabies vaccination for your new pet within 7 days.

4.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee for all pets at MBAS is $10. We accept cash (exact change required) or card. We do not accept checks.

5.
Take the Pet Home

And that's it! You are now the proud owner of a new furry family member and will take your pet home right away.

Mont Belvieu Animal Shelter is open Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please call or stop by the shelter to view our available animals!
