UPDATED BIO 7/19/2010: My name is Oscar. Boy oh boy am I lots of fun! I'm a 10.2lb 1.5 year old yorkie boy, and I'm ALL boy. I am a rough and tumble, play til I drop kind of guy. I love to be where the action is, whether that's on a walk outside, playing with my fursiblings, or in your lap giving you kisses. NOTHING'S getting past me! If it's interesting, I'm there! I love everybody, but my foster mommy thinks I love cats a little too much. I guess I bother them with my puppy ways.... so no cats please! I can sit, and I'm housetrained. I'm just the whole package! I'm still on my special food and will need to be on it for another 1.5 months before we can start reintroducing new things into my diet. I'm doing just fine. :) Wanna take me home? I know you do!
UPDATED BIO 06/19/2010: Hello again. Oscar here :) I'm a handsome young lad. The vet says I'm between 1-2 years old. I am up to 9.6 lbs, but Foster Mom is trying to get me up to 10 lbs.I was found as a stray, and my owners never came for me..... and I'm not too sure why nobody adopted me. Wanna know a little bit about me since FM has had me?
OK, I am a lover (not a fighter) and love love love to play! FM found out I really don't like cats, so please no cats for me! I am housetrained (and I squat when I pee pee! No leg lifting here!). I can jump like a kangaroo and love to go for walks. My labwork and urinalysis all came back STELLAR. Yup, I'm healthy as a horse! My only issue is a little bit of hair loss around my eyes. I got checked for infectious stuff - nope. I'm OK there :). My Dogtor seems to think I might have some allergies to food. I'm on some special food right now that I won't need to be on forever (we think). Once I've been on the food for a little bit, we'll start introducing other stuff back into my diet. That doesn't mean I'm not ready for adoption, though! I'm ready already! Come on! Give me a chance! I'll make you so happy! I do love to run, so a backyard with a fence would be AWESOME! A friend to play with (large or small) would be nice too, but it's not necessary. Thanks for checking me out! xoxo - Oscar!
ORIGINAL BIO 06/06/2010: Hi there! My name is Oscar, but I'm no grouch! I am the most loving, sweetest, playful little boy you ever did see! I'm 2 years old (Foster mom doesn't even think I'm even that old) and weigh 9.2 lbs. Foster mom busted me outta that very hot shelter today (and I don't mean "hot" in a good way!). I was so happy to be rescued. There were people who said they'd come adopt me, but they never showed up. Phooey! I think I'm gonna find a super cool home through UYR, an even BETTER one! I'm soooo excited!
Foster mom says she is still getting to know me but that I love dogs, love people, and that I squat when I pee pee. I asked her why she had to tell everybody that, but she said it was a good thing and that more people might like me because of it. I said, "Really? That's weird..... but OK :) ". I potty outside when you take me. I have a good appetite. I am just a doll-baby. I didn't even mind my bath... and foster mommy didn't mind that it dirtied up her whole tub.
I'm noot-ered, toofers are clean (I'm just a baby so with regular brushing, maybe I'll never need a dental!), and I'm pretty much ready to go. My only issue is that I have a wee bit of hair loss around my eyes. Since I have hookworms (ewwwww) which are being treated, and I'm on antibiotics for my neuter, AND FM is putting me on a limited diet Wellness food. We'll get to the bottom of it. :) Nothing a little love and good food won't cure! Wanna set a world record and adopt me soon? Do ya? Huh? Do ya?
