Why this pet is the one for you:
Introducing Smorez! This lovely dog can't wait to become your new roommate and snuggle up with you on the couch. Smorez is a gentle soul! She does have a touch of arthritis, so she's looking for a cozy haven where she can rest her body on a soft, comfortable bed. Short, leisurely walks and occasional outings would be just right for her, allowing her to enjoy some fresh air without overexerting herself. She's a sweet companion for those moments when all you want to do is relax and unwind. With Smorez by your side, you'll have a loyal and loving friend to keep you company as you enjoy some quality downtime together. So, why wait? Give Smorez a chance to bring warmth and companionship into your life today! Don't forget to bring a leash and collar.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
