Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Frank is such a wonderful pup! He is six years old and currently weighs 92 pounds but could use to lose a couple lbs. He is an active dog who enjoys playing outside and walking with our volunteers. He has been exploring the beautiful trails in Medfield and having a great time. We believe he would be happiest in a home where he would be walked every day since that is the lifestyle he has always had. He has lived with teenagers but has not lived with young kids.
In his previous home, he sometimes went to work with his owner. Frank is very smart and has gone through basic obedience training. He knows lots of commands, such as "sit", "down" and "paw." He is eager to please and very food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. Frank used to love attending doggy daycare, so we know that he gets along well with other dogs although he can be a bit too much for smaller dogs. We tested him with a cat and he ignored the kitty so we think he could live with a cat if properly introduced. He loves car rides. destroying stuffed toys and snacks. He was regretfully given up when his owner couldn't find housing that allowed a large dog.
Frank is neutered and up to date on his vaccines, and can't wait to fill a new home with love.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
