Meet Scrub Daddy!! Scrub Daddy's name came from his infatuation with the sponge, taking it on long walks around the apartment at night while his foster family sleep.
What a mush! What a love! what a personality! Poor Scrub Daddy was someone's pet and for some reason they couldn't keep him and put him outside. This fellow had to try to survive and when we found him he was pretty emaciated and in need of a lot of food, shelter and of course cuddles and loving.
His foster parents adore him and he gets on great with the other cats in the home. Scrub Daddy would do wonderfully in a home as a single cat but also just as well living with other cats. We don't know about dogs, but we feel he could adjust with the right introductions.
If you are interested email julie@wahicats.org. We can answer any questions and send an application.

The Washington Heights Cat Colony (aka "WaHi Cats") is an all-volunteer, non-profit TNR (trap-neuter-return) group located in upper Manhattan. We are dedicated to humanely reducing the local feral cat population by using the TNR method; to educating the surrounding community about the benefits of TNR programs; to placing adoptable cats and kittens from cat colonies in homes where possible; and to maintaining the health and well-being of our neighborhood feral cat colonies by providing ongoing care (food, water, shelter, and medical treatment) for the feral, stray, and abandoned cats in our community.
The Washington Heights Cat Colony has been making a critical difference for feral cats in upper Manhattan since 2005, when we TNR'd our first colony. We became a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 2008. Every year, we TNR (trap-neuter-return) hundreds of feral cats, and find forever homes and foster care for dozens of "friendlies." Everything we do is made possible by the generosity of our volunteers and donors.
Be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and Instagram for regular updates on our activities in the Heights, plus pictures of our latest rescues, adoptable cats, and TNR'd colonies.
