Liam is a big, goofy pitbull/mastiff mix, a middle aged/senior guy but he still has some pep in his step and is enjoying life. He enjoys the companionship of the other dogs and is good with the cats. He has not been around little kids, but does like the older kids in the home. Even though Liam is used to having someone at home (his foster mom works from home full time), he is reliably housetrained. He does not enjoy being crated (he whines and howls), but does do well in the family room or bedroom when no one is home. He also is a good sleeper and sleeps in his foster family’s bed at night. Liam really enjoys his walks and even though he pulls on his leash at the beginning of the walk, once the excitement has worn off, he does great on his leash and enjoys the outdoors. Liam adores meeting other dogs, so much so that he tends to be overwhelming for other dogs when he meets them initially. Again, once that excitement has worn off, then they become just another dog that he knows and enjoys. He also LOVES car rides and sitting in the front seat. He’s an older guy so is a bit hard of hearing, has some arthritis in his knees in particular which can cause an uneven gait/limp if he overdoes it, but he has a lot of life and love in him to give to his forever home. If you’re looking for a dog that still enjoys to play, but is past the wild child stage, Liam might be the guy you’re looking for..
Requirements: No special requirements
Adoption Fee: $350 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives.
